How to Prepare for Your Surgery

As a general rule, we recommend having all prescriptions filled prior to your surgery so that you do not have to make an additional trip after your surgery. Be sure to discuss with Dr. Chalekson all your medications and vitamins [prescribed and over-the-counter] prior to your surgery so that he can evaluate and identify possible side effects.

In addition, we also recommend that you have your lab work completed one week in advance so that results can be obtained and reviewed prior to your surgery. Please wear loose-fitting clothing on the day of surgery, and do not wear any makeup or jewelry. If you start becoming ill, please notify the office. This may affect whether Dr. Chalekson will proceed with your surgery.
