BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein that reduces the activity of the muscles in your forehead, brow, and crows' feet. When properly administered by a trained plastic surgeon, no one will know you have had a treatment. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical treatment that can temporarily smooth and soften moderate to severe lines, giving you a rejuvenated look.

JUVÉDERM®

JUVÉDERM® is an injectable gel made of smooth hyaluronic acid that is available at our Templeton location. Over time, the body loses hyaluronic acid and reduces its production, resulting in wrinkles and folds in the face. Juvéderm is used to smooth the face and add volume to the lips, giving you a more youthful appearance. With JuvéderM, there is very little to no downtime, though some patients do experience minimal bruising. Sign up for Brilliant Distinctions and save on Botox, Juvéderm, and Latisse.

RADIESSE®

RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler immediately provides volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging. Radiesse acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow. This process continues for several months, which extends the initial effect of Radiesse. The natural results are clinically proven to last a year or more in many patients. Common areas for injection are: smile lines, marionette lines, corners of the mouth, and jowls.

Sculptra® Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic is the latest injectable remedy for shallow to deep contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles that is offered here in our Templeton office. Sculptra works continuously in order to replace the collagen lost through the process of aging. The loss of collagen in the face results in lines, wrinkles, and folds. Sometimes called a “liquid face lift,” Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable made from poly-l-lactic acid that replaces lost volume by stimulating new collagen production. Sculptra Aesthetic

The treatment is most commonly used on deep folds between the nose and mouth called “smile lines”, or the wrinkled lines framing the mouth called “marionette lines”, sunken cheeks, sunken eyelids, or “tear troughs”. Sculptra is not a quick fix. Sculptra requires up to four injection sessions that are spaced out four weeks apart. The smoothing effect usually lasts up to two years, although results vary depending upon the initial severity of the facial wrinkles and the desired effect.

Laser Rejuvenation

Fraxel is a non-invasive laser therapy providing a wide array of treatment options to address many forms of aging, customized to each patient’s needs and concerns, requiring minimal recovery time. Fraxel penetrates deep into the dermis to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, melasma, age spots, sun spots, acne scars, and stretch marks. Each patient is different, and Dr. Chalekson will help you decide how many treatments are needed to achieve your goals.

Phenol Peel

A phenol peel is the deepest and most effective chemical peel available. It is used mainly to treat patients with severe facial wrinkles or areas of skin that have been damaged by sun exposure or pre-cancerous growths. A phenol peel penetrates deep within the skin to remove the outer layers where wrinkles and discoloration lie. Results of a phenol peel are frequently superior to other peels and modalities, as the skin is forced into creating newer and thicker collagen. Only one treatment is required, and results can last many years. Prior to a phenol peel, skin should be properly prepped with a medical-grade skin care system. This will help ensure and maintain the best results.

A phenol peel is done under general anesthesia at an outpatient surgery center. The procedure takes 30-45 minutes. After the procedure, your face will be swollen, red, and crusted. Over several days, your face will become stiff, dark, and begin to flake. After ten days, peeling and flaking will be complete, and you will be left with healthy, smooth, bright red skin. This sunburned appearance will take two to three months to subside. You will be presentable in 2-3 weeks with makeup. It is especially important that you always use a sunblock.
