Jessie is our Medical Aesthetician at Chalekson Plastic Surgery | MedSpa. Her skin story is unique, and it is why she began her journey to become a skin specialist.

A Personal Journey Into Skincare

After her first acne breakout at age 10, Jessie had an uphill battle with her complexion for the next decade. Her dermatologist prescribed everything, including antibiotics, topical medications, birth control, and even Accutane—twice! While some of these treatments worked temporarily, her acne always resurfaced. After canceling numerous dates, plans with friends, and events due to her acne, Jessie decided to take measures into her own hands and attend an Aesthetician school. Hopeful to learn enough about aesthetics to help treat her own skin conditions, school quickly made her realize that she was not alone; many of her classmates suffered from skin insecurities as well.

Turning Experience Into Expertise

After graduating from Aesthetician school, Jessie continued to educate herself by attending skin courses all over California to further her knowledge. She has worked with the world’s top skincare brands, including SkinCeuticals, OBAGI medical, Jan Marini, Dermalogica, Murad, and ZO. She has extensive knowledge of skincare ingredients and continues to educate herself on the newest science and technology for skin. She specializes in acne, hyperpigmentation, chemical peels, and Hydrafacials. She is dedicated to helping others feel confident in their bare skin and no longer hide from the world due to their own skin insecurities.

Life Outside the Practice

In her free time, Jessie enjoys beach walks with her dogs, tending to her vegetable/bee garden, planning events for her women’s empowerment group, practicing yoga, and visiting local wineries. She is also an advocate for Woods Humane Society, Prada Homeless Shelter, Cal Poly Cat Program, and PETA.
